We are so
pleased with the response by our Speakers Bureau this year.
At this point, 75 of you have
spoken or are scheduled to speak by the end of October! We’re
well on the way to a record-breaking number of presentations
for 2006.
We’re also excited by the responses to the presentations
you’ve been giving at companies around the area. Many of
our Employee Campaign Coordinators have told us that our presentations
this year are better than ever and that you’re doing a
great job engaging audiences. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We
are particularly grateful to several of you who have gone above
and beyond. Thanks to:
- Nancy
Kronen, Amy LoConte, Linda McNally, Nolasco Mercado, Tom
Slater and Oscar Vergara, who have already spoken five or
more
times.
- Kathy
Pierson, who stepped in on less than two hours notice for
a speaker who was ill, and on another day,
stayed after
her commitment to fill in when an event time was changed at the last moment.
It is not too late!
If you haven't had a chance to speak, it is not too late! We've
tried to contact every registered speaker, but if you haven't
yet been able to tell people about the incredible programs
at your fine agency, don't get left out! Contact Rosey Oaks-Lee
at sbureau@unitedway-cny.org or 428-2210 to get on the schedule.
Tip
of the week—get the facts
We do our best to give you all the information you’ll need
before every speaking engagement. But please, don’t be
afraid to ask for more—help us help you! If you have multiple
presentations prepared and aren’t sure which would be right
for a particular audience, or if you’re wondering what
the speaker order is, contact us and we’ll find out what
you need to know.
Follow-up surveys
Requests to complete our on-line survey are being sent to you
following your speaking events. Please take a moment to let
us know about any problems you had, or ideas for how to improve—or
just to let us know everything went smoothly. Thanks to everyone
who has already completed these.
Thank
you
Thanks to everyone who spoke this week.
