As
Speakers Bureau begins winding down, we’re pleased to tell you that to date, we’ve
placed agency speakers at 226 United Way meetings! Your hard
work is having an amazing effect on United Way’s Community
Campaign. As of today, our campaign total is $3,627,500. Thank
you very much for all the work that you do on our behalf!
Last week,
we reached the end of Lockheed Martin’s campaign
meetings. During a six-week period, we placed 53 speakers from
26 agencies at 95 campaign meetings. Together, you reached a
total of about 2,260 Lockheed employees—and that is an
accomplishment to be proud of!
This week, a number of new speakers had their chance to share
stories of the amazing work that their agencies do. A big thanks
to all of you! And we offer special kudos to two speakers who
went above and beyond the call of duty:
Early and Late. Thanks to Bill Lansley from Boys and Girls Clubs
of Syracuse who spoke to groups at Dot Foods, twice at 6:30 am,
and once at 6:30 pm.
Big Crowd, Little Notice. Sharon Jack Williams from Dunbar Association
came to the rescue when asked to speak the next day for around
300 people at Anaren Microwave. Thanks, Sharon.
Thanks
to everyone who spoke this week:
