You can be part of this fascinating and challenging
process. Volunteers are needed to review program funding
applications beginning in January.

| Last week at our Walk the Talk event,
we announced that the campaign was just shy of halfway
to our $9.7 million goal. Today, we are happy to announce
that we’ve crossed that threshold! To date, United
Way of Central New York’s Community Campaign has
raised $5,259,188.
A big thanks to everyone who has made this achievement
possible! |

Speakers Bureau 2007 has had a record-breaking
year! So far, we’ve scheduled 298 agency speaker presentations.
Thank you for bringing the importance
of giving to life for donors by including a speaker at your
campaign meetings.
Two weeks ago, we were challenged to keep up with requests
(we had more than 50 presentations scheduled for the week
of October 21!), but the peak demand has passed. We’ve
had a chance to catch our breath, and we’re ready
to schedule even more presentations. Call your account manager
today to schedule agency speakers for your future campaign
meetings. Speakers really appreciate having advance notice,
so please place requests with as much lead time as possible.

| We’re still drawing Step Up Challenge prizes daily—in
fact, we aren’t even halfway through this year’s
slate of prizes, so there are plenty of opportunities left
to win right through the Achievement Celebration in January.
Please remember that drawings will be suspended on November
22 and 23 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. See next week’s prizes and
the latest winners. Remember, turn in your pledge
forms early and often. |
