Welcome ___________, to the second edition of
the 2007 Speakers Bureau e-newsletter, published weekly during
the campaign season.
We’re very grateful for the response we’ve had to our
invitation to participate in Speakers Bureau. Thank you to each
of the 101 people who have registered as speakers this year. Together,
we’ll make 2007 a great campaign season!
Those speakers who did not attend training should have received
a packet in the mail, which included a guide to speaker scheduling,
a handbook for crafting an effective presentation, and helpful
hints. If you need a training packet but did not receive one,
please call 428-2235. The information is also available in the Speakers
Bureau section of our website.
Tip of the week—tell us the best
way to reach you
Even though we do our best to avoid last-minute schedule changes,
unfortunately, cancellations and time changes do happen—sometimes
with very little notice. Having the right contact information
for the time of day your meeting is scheduled (especially after-work
contact info) allows us to reach you as soon as we know there
will be a change. We sincerely appreciate your flexibility and
graciousness when these changes occur.
Hero of the week—the “Most
Birds with One Stone Award”
This week, we’d like to recognize Oscar Vergara from P.E.A.C.E.,
Inc.’s Big Brothers/Big Sisters. During one single phone
call from Kelly, Oscar agreed to do seven presentations at different
locations! Oscar, your generosity with your time and your dedication
is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
