SPEAKERS BUREAU E-NEWSLETTER: OCTOBER 23, 2007

Thank you for stepping it up this year!
2007 has been a demanding year for Speakers Bureau. We’ve had the most requests for speakers in at least five years—and you have stepped up to the challenge in a big way. We’re so grateful to each and every one of you for your efforts this year.

We’re getting our message out to more donors than ever before, and that’s great. But we also have a number of speakers who have already done more than a dozen presentations. To help ease the pressure on these speakers, now would be a great time to encourage any coworkers who haven’t spoken as much to take on some presentations.

We have plenty of time slots left to fill—just call Speaker Coordinator Kelly Bayne at 428-2210.

Good Karma Award
This week, we’d like to recognize Beth Slater from the Food Bank of Central New York for her dedication, skills and enthusiasm. Not only did she manage five presentations in four days last week, she received glowing accolades for her concise and moving speeches from United Way staff and ECCs. And to top it off, she won the Step Up Challenge on Monday! Congratulations Beth.
