What
is Speakers Bureau, and how can I use it?
Speakers Bureau places speakers from agencies that receive
United Way dollars in front of your employees. With more
than 100 speakers trained to speak about a wide variety of
programs, Speakers Bureau is an opportunity for your workforce
to hear about the many different ways United Way puts pledges
to work in our community.
Best of all, Speakers Bureau is
easy to use. Once you know the dates of your campaign meetings
and rough
attendance
numbers, click here to download a Speaker
Request Form. Just fill it out
(selecting a Vision Area that you think would be appropriate
for your co-workers) and fax it
to
us at 428-2227.
If you aren’t sure which Vision Area to select,
or you have other questions, please call 428-2211 and ask
to speak to your account manager. Questions about scheduling
should be addressed to Speakers
Bureau Coordinator at
428-2235.
Do agency speakers really make a difference?
Yes! ECCs that are able to track pledging from employees
who have heard from an agency speaker versus those
who have not tell us that the difference is significant.

“ Agency speakers live it,” said
Bill Leiker, ECC at Lockheed Martin. “They make
a campaign meeting so much more meaningful. They have
the stories of people in need. They’re vitally
important. It makes such a difference in our campaign.” |
