United Way of Central New York provides stewardship of community charitable investments by strategically investing donor gifts to have a positive impact on local human-care conditions. The primary means of investing these gifts is through our Community Program Fund that supports programs in five Vision Areas. These programs constitute an array of broad-based services that serve people from various economic and geographic sectors, giving priority to programs that serve low-income, at-risk families and individuals.

As you may be aware, the United States government has established anti-terrorism security standards for non-profit organizations. In accordance with these statutes, funding organizations such as United Way of Central New York must ask the organizations that receive funding from us to annually certify in writing that they are in compliance with the US Patriot Act and other counter-terrorism laws.

This form should be completed by the senior executive or Board Chair of your organization.

Receipt of your completed statement will help to ensure that payments to your organization in the coming year will be processed as smoothly as possible. Thank you for your assistance with this matter.

In preparation for the 2008-2011 Community program Fund allocation cycle, the Community Impact Division facilitated a process to assist United Way volunteer leadership in identifying United Way of Central New York’s areas of investment and the investment percentages to be assigned to each area.

Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) Federal tax-exempt, Indian Reservations, and tax-exempt educational organizations are eligible to become Gifts-in-Kind Members with access donated products from local companies as well as donations and special pricing programs through Gifts In Kind International.
