New York's E-Pledge Help page. Here you will find answers
to frequently asked questions regarding E-Pledging. If you
still need help on an issue, please contact your campaign
coordinator.
In efforts to make your e-Pledge process easier, please be aware of these limitations before you begin:
- We cannot accept cash, check, or stock gifts
via e-pledging. If you wish to use any of these methods
of payment please contact your campaign coordinator.
- We
ask that you e-pledge only once. If you need
to change your gift, please contact your campaign coordinator for
assistance.
- If
you experience difficulty, please see the frequently asked questions below.
- Before
you start you may want to check your giving history to
take the Step
Up Challenge.
Be sure to check the "I have accepted the Step Up Challenge" check
box before verifying your pledge.
- When
you're ready to begin, click the "I'll Pledge Now" button
and you'll be lead through the simple process.

I am having problems logging
into my account!
Please make
sure that you are entering the username and password
exactly as it was sent to you. The login is "case
sensitive" so uppercase and lowercase letters must
match the original. If this is not the problem, please
contact your campaign coordinator to confirm that your
user name and password are correct.
I lost my user name and password!
Try using the Forgot Password button on the main login page.
If you still have problems, please contact your Campaign
Coordinator to have your user name and/or password reissued.
Is it safe for me to pledge online?
Yes, United Way of Central New York's
e-Pledging site is a certified Verisign secure site.
Can I give cash or securities via e-pledging?
Unfortunately no, United Way of Central New York's e-Pledge
site is not yet capable of accepting cash or securities.
However, you can use a paper pledge card to make gifts of
cash or securities.
How do I participate in the Step Up Challenge?
You can participate in the Step Up Challenge and be eligible
for weekly prizes by increasing your gift, or beginning to
give, one more dollar a week ($52 a year). Click
here for full contest rules. Be sure to check
the Step Up Challenge checkbox before verifying your pledge.
Can I designate my pledge to any organization?
Eligible organizations include: Other United Ways and 501(c)(3)
health and human service organizations located in New York
State or in the state where the donor resides. Agencies must
be compliant with the Federal Patriot Act.
Where does the amount marked "undesignated" go?
Undesignated pledges support all of United Way of Central
New York's funds and services, unless the donor is pledging as part of a SEFA or CFC campaign.
I can't find the agency I would like to support
using the search function.
If you are having trouble searching for the agency you would
like to designate to, please use the write in feature.
When choosing to write in an agency please be as specific
as possible. Please include the agencies name and address
to ensure your pledge goes to the agency of your choice.
Can I change my pledge using e-Pledge?
Yes, you may add to your contribution using e-Pledge.
If there has been a mistake, and you wish to subtract from
you contribution, please contact your campaign coordinator.
I used my "back" button on my browser, and
I received an error.
United Way of Central New York's e-Pledge site does not
support the use of the "back" button. If you wish
to go back to the previous screen, please use the "previous" button.
