Organized Labor Participation
Winner: NYSUT
- Given to labor organizations that show civic leadership, participate in volunteer activities, and support the United Way campaign.
- Despite facing budget uncertainty, members of NYSUT once again gave generously, achieving a perfect 100 percent participation in giving.

Gifts-In-Kind Award
Winner: Carrier Corporation
- Recognizes organizations that are especially generous with gifts of material goods and/or services.
- When building renovations left Carrier with surplus restaurant equipment, the equipment was donated to local nonprofits, including the Samaritan Center.

Volunteer Service Award
Winner: Welch Allyn, Inc.
- Recognizes the importance of volunteering in the community.
- In July 2010, Welch Allyn's incredible Beaconfest Show of Hands event closed down the company's headquarters for a day, putting nearly 400 Welch Allyn employees to work at 23 different nonprofits, including The Samaritan Center and The Salvation Army.

Leadership Development Award
Winner: Upstate Medical University
- Recognizes the importance in inspiring people to give according to their means, recognizing companies that strive to encourage Leadership Giving (gifts of $1,000 and more per year).
- Upstate's Leadership campaign is a model for other organizations. The senior management is supportive, the campaign coordinators emphasize the importance of Leadership giving with personal appeals, and Upstate honors each donor within the organization.

Campaign Excellence Award
Winner: Selflock Screw Products
- Recognizes companies with 100 or fewer employees that run great United Way campaigns.
- Selflock achieves extraordinary results by running its United Way campaign with a personalized touch. Once again in 2010, the company managed to increase its campaign proceeds and achieved an incredible 100 percent participation in giving from its employees.

Winner: Wegmans
- Recognizes companies with more than 100 employees that run great United Way campaigns.
- Wegmans employees' generosity is nothing short of amazing, and the company's years of commitment to its United Way campaign have paid off – the 2010 campaign increased by more than $75,000 over the previous year.
