Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) Federal tax-exempt, Indian Reservations, and tax-exempt educational organizations are eligible to become Gifts-In-Kind Members with access donated products from local companies as well as donations and special pricing programs through Gifts In Kind International.

Our local and international donations vary, but they almost always include top-quality computer hardware and software, toys, household and office supplies, clothing, and personal hygiene and cosmetic products from top companies, such as IBM, Microsoft, J. Crew, Pottery Barn, Talbot's, and William Sonoma. Local non-profits can join Gifts-In-Kind through United Way of Central New York for a modest annual $25 membership fee. You will have access to donations from local companies and a wide array of offerings through Gifts In Kind International.

Your Gifts-In-Kind membership entitles you to:

• Receive Our Monthly List of Items that are available from local businesses, at no cost to you. Ranging from computers to clothing, these gifts will help you better serve your clientele.
• Receive The Gifts In Kind International Catalogue featuring gifts donated by national and international corporations. These catalogue items are available for a small administrative fee.
• Place Special Requests The “hot requests” section of our web site features items especially needed by local agencies.

Gifts-In-Kind International

The parent organization of our local program is Gifts In Kind International, which offers many products from nationally known companies. There are some fees involved with receiving donations and specially priced services from Gifts In Kind International:

• Annual registration fee. Your membership fee covers both Gifts In Kind International’s and United Way of Central New York’s costs for processing applications and communicating with members.
• Administrative fees for shipping and handling of donated products. The donated product is free, but there are additional costs to get the donation to you. To help defray some of these expenses, they charge a low Administrative Fee for each donation.
• Specially priced offerings at reduced cost from the donor. Some expensive products are not available as free donations, but they are available at a special price just for Gifts In Kind International members. When you order an item from the special pricing program, you merely pay the reduced price. You do not pay an additional Administrative Fee to Gifts In Kind International.
